In doing so, it suggested that the participants at the Conference should invite Governments to build upon the existing work on enhancing cooperation and coordination among the conventions related to chemicals and wastes in order to develop a strategy for the long-term sound management of chemicals and wastes and to support its implementation by countries in partnership with other related processes such as the Strategic Approach.
