1. Authorizes an open-ended inter-sessional working group of the Commission on Human Rights to meet for a period of two weeks prior to the fifty-first session of the Commission in order to elaborate, as a matter of priority, a draft optional protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the involvement of children in armed conflicts;
١ - يأذن لفريق عامل بين الدورات مفتوح العضوية تابع للجنة حقوق الانسان بأن يجتمع لمدة أسبوعبن قبل الدورة الحادية والخمسين للجنة لكي يضع، على سبيل اﻷولوية، مشروع بروتوكول اختياري لاتفاقية حقوق الطفل بشأن تورط اﻷطفال في المنازعات المسلحة؛

١ - يأذن لفريق عامل بين الدورات المفتوحة العضوية تابع للجنة حقوق اﻹنسان بأن يجتمع لمدة أسبوعين قبل الدورة الحادية والخمسين للجنة لكي يضع، على سبيل اﻷولوية، مشروع بروتوكول اختياري لاتفاقية حقوق الطفل بشأن تورط اﻷطفال في المنازعات المسلحة؛

At the 42nd meeting, on 22 July, the Council adopted draft resolution III, entitled " Question of an optional protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the involvement of children in armed conflicts " , recommended by the Commission on Human Rights (E/1994/24, chap. I, sect. A).
٤٥ - في الجلسة ٤٢، المعقودة في ٢٢ تموز/يوليه، اعتمد المجلس القرار الثالث المعنون " مسألة وضع مشروع بروتوكول اختياري لاتفاقية حقوق الطفل بشأن تورط اﻷطفال في المنازعات المسلحة " ، الذي أوصت به لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان )E/1994/24، الفصل اﻷول، الفرع ألف(.

Regarding the decision (1994/91) of the Commission on Human Rights to set up a working group for the elaboration of a draft optional protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the involvement of children in armed conflicts, it was an effective measure for the protection and reinforcement of the rights of children who were living in very difficult conditions as a result of armed conflicts.
وأضاف، فيما يتعلق بمقرر لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان )١٩٩٤/٩١( إنشاء فريق عامل لوضع مشروع بروتوكول اختياري ملحق بالاتفاقية بشأن تورط اﻷطفال في المنازعات المسلحة، إن هذا المقرر يعكس التدابير الفعالة لتعزيز وحماية حقوق اﻷطفال الذين يعيشون تحت ظروف قاسية نتيجة للمنازعات المسلحة.

It took note of the drafting process in the working group on a draft optional protocol on the involvement of children in armed conflicts, whose work was based on a preliminary draft prepared by the Committee, following a specific request by the World Conference on Human Rights in that regard (see A/49/41, in particular paras 554-559).
وأحاطت علما بعملية الصياغة التي تجري في الفريق العامل المعني بوضع مشروع بروتوكول اختياري بشأن تورط اﻷطفال في النزاعات المسلحة، والذي استند عمله الى مشروع أولي أعدته اللجنة، بناء على طلب محدد من المؤتمر العالمي لحقوق اﻹنسان في هذا الشأن )انظر A/49/41، وبخاصة الفقرات من ٤٥٥ الى ٩٥٥(.
