• Victims of Crime and Abuse of Power

In its resolution 40/34, entitled " Declaration of Basic Principles of Justice for Victims of Crime and Abuse of Power " , the General Assembly recommended that, at the international and regional levels, appropriate measures should be taken.
1- أوصت الجمعية العامة، في قرارها 40/34 المعنون " إعلان مبادئ العدل الأساسية المتعلقة بضحايا الإجرام والتعسّف في استعمال السلطة " ، بأن تُتخَذ تدابير مناسبة على الصعيدين الدولي والإقليمي.

The replies received indicate that Member States have implemented, at least in part, the measures contained in the Declaration of Basic Principles of Justice for Victims of Crime and Abuse of Power.
69- تدل الردود المتلقاة على أن الدول الأعضاء قد نفذت، جزئياً على الأقل، التدابير الواردة في إعلان مبادئ العدل الأساسية المتعلقة بضحايا الإجرام والتعسّف في استعمال السلطة.

Noting General Assembly resolution 40/34 of 29 November 1985, in which the Assembly adopted the Declaration of Basic Principles of Justice for Victims of Crime and Abuse of Power,
وإذ يحيط علما بقرار الجمعية العامة 40/34 المؤرّخ 29 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 1985 الذي اعتمدت الجمعية العامة بمقتضاه إعلان مبادئ العدل الأساسية المتعلقة بضحايا الإجرام والتعسّف في استعمال السلطة()،

1. Reiterates its continued support to the use and application of the Declaration of Basic Principles of Justice for Victims of Crime and Abuse of Power;
1 - يؤكّد مجدّدا دعمه المتواصل لاستخدام وتطبيق إعلان مبادئ العدل الأساسية المتعلقة بضحايا الإجرام والتعسّف في استعمال السلطة()؛

He urged States to give effect to victims' rights, as set forth in the Declaration of Basic Principles of Justice for Victims of Crime and Abuse of Power (General Assembly resolution 40/34, annex).
وحثّ الدول على إعمال حقوق الضحايا المبيّنة في إعلان مبادئ العدل الأساسية المتعلقة بضحايا الإجرام والتعسّف في استعمال السلطة (قرار الجمعية العامة 40/34، المرفق).

The General Assembly, in the United Nations Declaration of Basic Principles of Justice for Victims of Crime and Abuse of Power (A/RES/40/34) provided a definition of victims of abuse of power (paragraph 18) and recommended that States should promote policies and mechanisms for the prevention of acts of abuse of power, and should develop and make readily available appropriate rights and remedies for victims (paragraph 21).
28- وقدّمت الجمعية العامة، في إعلان الأمم المتحدة لمبادئ العدل الأساسية المتعلقة بضحايا الإجرام والتعسّف في استعمال السلطة (A/RES/40/34)، تعريفا لضحايا استغلال السلطة (الفقرة 18) وأوصت بأن تعزّز الدول السياسات والآليات اللازمة لمنع الأفعال التي تشكّل استغلالا للسلطة وأن تستحدث الحقوق ووسائل الانتصاف الملائمة وتتيحها لضحايا هذه الأفعال (الفقرة 21).
