It was recommended that Governments should be encouraged to gather factual, reliable and comprehensive information concerning the situation in their countries with respect to both drug trafficking and illicit drug use, so as to develop and implement effective strategies to combat drug abuse and reduce its impact on their communities.

The Committee recommends that the State party undertake a survey of the number of children working as domestic servants in order to design and implement legislation and policies to prevent and combat all forms of economic exploitation of children, in accordance with ILO Conventions Nos. 138 and 182, in particular those involved in domestic services.

At the outset of the outbreak, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations established inter-agency cholera task forces at the central and regional levels in order to design and implement a coordinated programme of preventive and curative interventions in all affected areas.
