وتعهد أعضاؤه في مبادئ المحفل لتعزيز سياسة المنافسة والإصلاح اللوائحي (وهي صك قانوني غير ملزم) بإدخال عقود إقامة سياسات أو قوانين أو سبل إنفاذ فعالة وملائمة وشفافة في مجال المنافسة، وتشجيع المنافسة فيما بين بلدان منتدى التعاون الاقتصادي لآسيا والمحيط الهادئ، واتخاذ الإجراءات في مجال رفع الضوابط التنظيمية.
