5. The general conclusions on the status of activities relating to the three strategic objectives are presented at the end of the report and capture important issues relating to baseline information for the impact indicators (baseline perspective).
5- وترد الاستنتاجات العامة المتعلقة بحالة الأنشطة ذات الصلة بالأهداف الاستراتيجية الثلاثة في نهاية التقرير، وتتناول مسائل مهمة مرتبطة بالمعلومات الأساسية المتعلقة بمؤشرات الأثر (منظور خط الأساس).

6. In accordance with decision 12/COP.9, the Committee on Science and Technology (CST) shall contribute to the work of the Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention (CRIC) by reviewing and assessing scientific information from Parties and other reporting entities, in particular on impact indicators relating to strategic objectives 1, 2 and 3 of The Strategy.
6- وتساهم لجنة العلم والتكنولوجيا، بموجب المقرّر 12/م أ-9، في عمل لجنة استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية من خلال استعراض المعلومات المقدمة من الأطراف وغيرها من الكيانات المبلّغة وتقييمها، ولا سيما المعلومات المتعلقة بمؤشرات الأثر الخاصة بالأهداف الاستراتيجية 1 و2 و3.

Given that the introduction of reporting on impact indicators in the 2012 reporting exercise will further increase the complexity of reporting, it is clear that the quality of future reporting will even more be dependent on sufficient funding for data collection and analysis.
2- بالنظر إلى أن الأخذ بمؤشرات الأثر في عملية الإبلاغ في دورة الإبلاغ عام 2012 سيزيد من تعقيدها، من الواضح أن نوعية التقارير في المستقبل سوف تتوقف أكثر من أي وقت مضى على مدى كفاية التمويل المخصص لجمع البيانات وتحليلها.

19. By its decision 12/COP.9, the COP decided that the Committee on Science and Technology (CST) should contribute to the work of the CRIC by reviewing and assessing scientific information from Parties and other reporting entities, in particular on impact indicators relating to strategic objectives 1, 2 and 3.
19- وقرر مؤتمر الأطراف بموجب مقرره 12/م أ-9() أن تساهم لجنة العلم والتكنولوجيا في أعمال لجنة استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية عن طريق استعراض وتقييم المعلومات العلمية الواردة من الأطراف والكيانات المبلغة الأخرى، ولا سيما المعلومات المتعلقة بمؤشرات الأثر المتصلة بالأهداف الاستراتيجية 1 و2 و3.
