However, by a note dated 24 January 1996 (S/1996/55), the President of the Security Council announced that the Council had decided to remove certain items from list (see also part II, chap. 25, above).

16. by note of 18 October 1994, the Government of Germany accepted the Special Rapporteur's offer to visit Germany and proposed that that mission should take place after 9 January 1995.

5.1 In response to the State party's comments, counsel for the authors submitted a memorandum dated 8 April 1999, pointing out that the hotel complex had already been built and inaugurated and that the injury to the victims was thus fully established.

After a reminder addressed to the State party in February 1996, the State party, by submission of 15 July 1996, informed the Committee that the President of Senegal gave instructions to the State party's Minister for Justice to make an ex gratia payment to Mr. Koné, as compensation for the duration of his pretrial detention.

8.1 Under cover of a note dated 4 May 1994, the State party forwards a submission from the government of Quebec, dated 21 February 1994, in which it submits that the author claims before the Committee violations of rights enjoyed by his company " Allan Singer Limited " .

In so doing, it recalls that, during its fifty-third session, it had decided to seek certain clarifications from the State party, which were requested in a note dated 28 April 1995.
