It was in keeping with this involvement that we hosted the third meeting of the Permanent Consultative Committee on Security Questions in our subregion.
وحرصا منا على هذه المشاركة، استضفنا الاجتماع الثالث للجنة الاستشارية الدائمة المعنية بمسائل اﻷمن في منطقتنا دون الاقليمية.

In connection with the prevention of conflicts and with confidence- and security-building among the States of our subregion, we have established a permanent consultative committee on Security Questions in Central Africa, with the cooperation of the United Nations.

The opening ceremony was chaired by Mr. Augustin Kontchou Kouomegni, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Cameroon and Chairman at the Ministerial level of the United Nations Standing Advisory Committee on Security Questions in Central Africa.

Although at the outset this machinery has already achieved some excellent results, nevertheless, like the Standing Consultative Committee on Questions of Security in Central Africa that was created by the Secretary-General of the United Nations in the context of preventive diplomacy, it needs the support of the international community.
ورغم أن هذه اﻵليـــة حققت في البداية بعض النتائج الممتازة، فإنها، شأنها شأن اللجنة الاستشارية الدائمة المعنية بمسائل اﻷمن في وسط افريقيا التي أنشأها أمين عام اﻷمم المتحدة في سياق الدبلوماسية الوقائية، بحاجة الى الدعم من المجتمع الدولي.
