3. ٣ - ترحب بالدعوات الموجهة الى المدير التنفيذي لبرنامج اﻷمم المتحدة للبيئة لحضور الاجتماعات الاستشارية المتعلقة بمعاهدة أنتاركتيكا لكي يتسنى له تقديم المساعدة الى هذه الاجتماعات في أعمالها الموضوعية، وتحث اﻷطراف على مواصلة توجيه تلك الدعوات بالنسبة للاجتماعات الاستشارية المقبلة؛

8. The Protocol on Environmental Protection to the Antarctic Treaty (the Madrid Protocol) was adopted and opened for signature on 4 October 1991.
٨ - اعتمد بروتوكول حماية البيئة الملحق بمعاهدة أنتاركتيكا )بروتوكول مدريد( وفُتح للتوقيع في تشرين اﻷول/أكتوبر ١٩٩١.

An important milestone during the past three years has been the 10-year anniversary, on 4 October 2001, of the signing of the Madrid Protocol on Environmental Protection to the Antarctic Treaty.
وكان أحد المعالم البارزة التي تميزت بها فترة السنوات الثلاث الماضية، حول الذكرى السنوية العاشرة، في 4 تشرين الأول/ أكتوبر 2001، للتوقيع على بروتوكول مدريد الملحق بمعاهدة أنتاركتيكا بشأن حماية البيئة.
