At its 9th meeting, on 25 January, recognizing the end of Mr. Tarar's working assignment with the Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the United Nations, the Committee elected Marghoob Saleem Butt (Pakistan) as the Chair for the remainder of the 2013 session of the Committee.
وفي الجلسة التاسعة المعقودة في 25 كانون الثاني/يناير، انتخبت اللجنة، إدراكا منها لانتهاء فترة تعيين السيد طرار في البعثة الدائمة لباكستان لدى الأمم المتحدة، مرغوب سليم بوط (باكستان) رئيسا للجنة للفترة المتبقية من دورتها لعام 2013.

Mr. Butt (Pakistan): Pakistan aligns itself with the statement just delivered by the representative of Tajikistan on behalf of the members of the Organization of the Islamic Conference Group, as well as with the statement delivered earlier by the representative of Maldives on behalf of the cross-regional group.
السيد بوط (باكستان) (تكلم بالإنكليزية): تؤيد باكستان البيان الذي أدلى به للتو ممثل طاجيكستان بالنيابة عن أعضاء مجموعة منظمة المؤتمر الإسلامي، كما تؤيد البيان الذي أدلى به ممثل جزر ملديف في وقت سابق نيابة عن مجموعة بلدان من مناطق مختلفة.
