9. To further examine these issues, the Council, in its resolution 10/4, decided to hold a panel discussion on the relationship between climate change and human rights at its eleventh session, in June 2009.

OHCHR also organized a one-day open-ended consultation on the relationship between climate change and human rights, held on 22 October 2008 in Geneva.
ونظمت المفوضية أيضاً، في 22 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2008 في جنيف، مشاورة مفتوحة على مدى يوم واحد بشأن العلاقة بين تغير المناخ وحقوق الإنسان.

423. Maintaining this momentum, the Maldives successfully tabled a Resolution in March 2008 at the Human Rights Council in Geneva calling for a study by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights on the possible linkages between climate change and human rights.
٤٢٣- وحفاظاً على هذا الزخم المتولِّد، نجحت ملديف في جدولة قرار في آذار/ مارس ٢٠٠٨ في مجلس حقوق الإنسان في جنيف يدعو إلى وضع دراسة من قبل مفوضية الأمم المتحدة لحقوق الإنسان بشأن الارتباطات المحتملة بين تغير المناخ وحقوق الإنسان.

As a result, OHCHR was requested to conduct an analytical study on the relationship between climate change and human rights (A/HRC/10/61).

1. Decides to hold a panel discussion on the relationship between climate change and human rights at its eleventh session in order to contribute to the realization of the goals set out in the Bali Action Plan and to invite all relevant stakeholders to participate therein;
1- يقرر عقد حلقة نقاش بشأن العلاقة بين تغير المناخ وحقوق الإنسان في دورته الحادية عشرة بغية الإسهام في تحقيق الأهداف المحددة في خطة عمل بالي ودعوة جميع أصحاب المصلحة ذوي الصلة إلى المشاركة في هذه الندوة؛

33. In its resolution 10/4 of 25 March 2009, the Council decided to hold a panel discussion on the relationship between climate change and human rights at its eleventh session in order to contribute to the realization of the goals set out in the Bali Action Plan and to invite all relevant stakeholders to participate therein.
33- قرر المجلس، في قراره 10/4 المؤرخ 25 آذار/مارس 2009، أن يعقد في دورته الحادية عشرة ندوة نقاش بشأن العلاقة بين تغير المناخ وحقوق الإنسان بغية الإسهام في تحقيق الأهداف المحددة في خطة عمل بالي، وأن يدعو جميع أصحاب المصلحة المعنيين إلى المشاركة في الندوة.

34. At its tenth session in March 2009, the Human Rights Council considered the OHCHR study on the relationship between climate change and human rights (A/HRC/10/61), and adopted resolution 10/4 on human rights and climate change.
34- ونظر مجلس حقوق الإنسان، في دورته العاشرة المعقودة في آذار/مارس 2009، في دراسة المفوضية للعلاقة بين تغير المناخ وحقوق الإنسان (A/HRC/10/61)، واعتمد القرار 10/4 بشأن حقوق الإنسان وتغير المناخ.

The Office also draws attention to the report of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights on the relationship between climate change and human rights, which contains information relevant to the debate on climate change which took place at the seventh session of the Forum.
كما توجه المفوضية الانتباه إلى تقريرها عن العلاقة بين تغير المناخ وحقوق الإنسان()، الذي يتضمن معلومات ذات صلة بالمناقشة المتعلقة بتغير المناخ التي جرت في الدورة السابعة للمنتدى.

The consultation process organized by the Office in the preparation of the study offered the opportunity for indigenous organizations to submit contributions to the Office, which hosted an open-ended consultation on the relationship between climate change and human rights on 22 October 2008 in Geneva.
وقد أتاحت عملية التشاور التي نظمتها المفوضية في إطار التحضير للدراسة فرصة لأن تقدم منظمات الشعوب الأصلية إسهامات إلى المفوضية، التي استضافت مشاورة مفتوحة العضوية بشأن العلاقة بين تغير المناخ وحقوق الإنسان في 22 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2008 في جنيف.

The report of the Office on the relationship between climate change and human rights discusses specific rights which relate directly to climate change-related threats, in particular the rights to life, food, water, health and housing.
