للجنة أن تتعاون، الى المدى الذي تعتبره ضروريا ومفيدا، مع اللجنة اﻷوقيانوغرافية الحكومية الدولية التابعة لمنظمة اﻷمم المتحدة للتربية والعلم والثقافة، ومع المنظمة الهيدروغرافية الدولية وغيرها من المنظمات الدولية المختصة بغية تبادل المعلومات العلمية والتقنية التي قد تساعد اللجنة على الاضطلاع بمسؤولياتها.

Presenters also underlined the importance of training scientific and technical personnel in climate change issues, especially regarding international developments on climate studies, and in exchanging scientific and technical information that could assist in building a critical mass of experts with expertise in the scientific and technical areas of climate change and the international negotiating processes.
