1. The Pre-UNCTAD XI High-level International Meeting of Experts on Sustainable Tourism for Development was convened by the Secretary-General of UNCTAD to enable the UNCTAD secretariat to benefit from the contributions of governmental and international experts in areas that need further activities in support of developing countries' efforts to take advantage of international tourism.
