The Fifth Committee also decided to inform the General Assembly that it would need to approve an exception to the provisions of its resolution 40/243 of 18 December 1985, under which all bodies should meet at their established headquarters in respect of meetings that are to be held away from the established headquarters of the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People.

The Advisory Committee recommends to the Fifth Committee that it inform the General Assembly that should it adopt the draft resolution contained in document A/48/950, including operative paragraph 8 thereof, an appropriation of $1,589,700 would be required under section 32 of the programme budget for the biennium 1994-1995, to be offset by a reduction of $1,149,900 under section 7.
