٤- نؤيد اعتماد هذه المادة بالصيغة التالية: " تتخذ الدول اﻷطراف جميع التدابير الممكنة عمليا لضمان عدم اشتراك اﻷشخاص الذين لم يبلغوا سنّ الثامنة عشرة في اﻷعمال الحربية " .

" In armed conflicts and without prejudice to international humanitarian law, States Parties shall take all feasible measures to ensure that persons who have not attained the age of 18 years do not take part in hostilities, unless under the law applicable to the child, majority is attained earlier " .
" أثناء المنازعات المسلحة ودون اﻹخلال بالقانون اﻹنساني الدولي، تتخذ الدول اﻷطراف جميع التدابير الممكنة عمليا لضمان عدم اشتراك اﻷشخاص الذين لم يبلغوا الثامنة عشرة من عمرهم في اﻷعمال الحربية، ما لم يكن القانون المنطبق على الطفل ينص على بلوغ سن الرشد قبل الثامنة عشرة " .
