1. Malaysia voted in favour of General Assembly resolution 57/5 of 16 October 2002, in which the Assembly called for the end of imposition of unilateral coercive economic measures on individuals or corporations of other States.

2. Urges the international community to adopt urgent and effective measures to eliminate the use of unilateral coercive economic measures against developing countries that are not authorized by relevant organs of the United Nations or are inconsistent with the principles of international law as set forth in the Charter of the United Nations and that contravene the basic principles of the multilateral trading system;
2 - تحث المجتمع الدولي على اتخاذ تدابير عاجلة وفعالة لوضع حد لاستخدام تدابير اقتصادية قسرية انفرادية ضد البلدان النامية لم تأذن بها أجهزة الأمم المتحدة ذات الصلة أو تتنافى ومبادئ القانون الدولي الواردة في ميثاق الأمم المتحدة وتخل بالمبادئ الأساسية للنظام التجاري المتعدد الأطراف؛

2. 512-2 مواصلة الدعوة لرفض أي تدابير اقتصادية قسرية انفرادية قد تتخذها بعض الدول واعتماد إجراءات ملموسة لمناهضتها في المحافل المختلفة المتعددة الأطراف التي تشترك فيها حركة عدم الانحيار ومجموعة الـ77 والصين.

53. It should however be noted that challenges exist, one of the major challenges of development is the prevalence of unilateralism in the international system and the use or threat to use of unilateral coercive economic measures against some developing countries as a tool to achieve their political aims.

5. Again calls upon all States not to recognize or apply unilateral extraterritorial coercive economic measures imposed by any State, which are contrary to recognized principles of international law;
