" Crimes against humanity " means the following [crimes] [acts], when committed as part of a widespread [or] systematic attack [on a massive scale] against any civilian population:

2. Acts constituting a crime against humanity when committed as part of a widespread and systematic attack against a civilian population are the following:

Since the Statute covers the category of crimes against humanity, which includes murder and extermination committed as part of a widespread or systematic attack on any civilian population, certain terrorist acts might therefore be tried under the Statute.
وبما أن النظام الأساسي يغطي الجرائم التي تدخل ضمن فئة الجرائم ضد الإنسانية، والتي تشمل عمليات القتل والإبادة التي ترتكب كجزء من هجوم واسع النطاق أو هجوم منهجي على أي سكان مدنيين، لذلك يمكن محاكمة بعض الأعمال الإرهابية بموجب هذا النظام الأساسي.

[For the purposes of the present Convention " crimes against humanity " means the following acts when committed as part of a widespread and systematic attack against any civilian population unless they constitute crimes defined in the preceding provision:]

" Crimes against humanity refer to inhumane acts of a very serious nature, such as wilful killing, torture or rape, committed as part of a widespread or systematic attack against any civilian population on national, political, ethnic, racial or religious grounds.

Article 7 of the Statute recognizes " [R]ape, sexual slavery, enforced prostitution, forced pregnancy, enforced sterilization, or any other form of sexual violence of comparable gravity " as crimes against humanity if committed as part of a widespread or systematic attack directed against any civilian population.
