3. The members of the subsidiary body shall be elected by secret ballot from a list of persons nominated by States Parties.

2. The members of the Committee shall be elected by secret ballot from a list of persons nominated by States Parties. Each State Party may nominate one person from among its own nationals.
2 - ينتخب أعضاء اللجنة بالاقتراع السري من قائمة أشخاص ترشحهم الدول الأطراف ولكل دولة طرف أن ترشح شخصا واحدا من بين مواطنيها.

The other five members are to be elected from a list of persons having the highest qualifications in such areas as law, law enforcement, administration, diplomacy, economics and the social sciences, nominated by States Members of the United Nations and by parties to the Single Convention that are not members of the United Nations.
ويتعين انتخاب اﻷعضاء الخمسة اﻵخرين من قائمة بأسماء أشخاص لديهم أعلى المؤهلات في مجالات كالقانون وإنفاذ القوانين والادارة والدبلوماسية والاقتصاد والعلوم الاجتماعية، ترشحهم الدول اﻷعضاء في اﻷمم المتحدة، وأطراف الاتفاقية الوحيدة غير اﻷعضاء في اﻷمم المتحدة.

5. The members of the Committee shall be elected by secret ballot from a list of persons nominated by the States Parties from among their nationals at meetings of States Parties convened by the Secretary-General of the United Nations.
5 - يُنتخب أعضاء اللجنة بالاقتراع السري من قائمة أشخاص ترشحهم الدول الأطراف من بين رعاياها في اجتماعات الدول الأطراف التي يعقدها الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة.

5. The members of the Committee shall be elected by secret ballot from a list of persons nominated by the States Parties from among their nationals at meetings of the Conference of States Parties.
