The Security Council should direct all sanctions Committees to amend their guidelines to ensure that no matter is left pending before the Committee for a period longer than six months, unless the Committee determines on a case-by-case basis that extraordinary circumstances require additional time for consideration.
ينبغي لمجلس الأمن أن يوجه جميع لجان الجزاءات نحو تعديل مبادئها التوجيهية من أجل ضمان ألاّ تبقى أمام اللجنة أي مسألة معلقة أكثر من ستة أشهر، ما لم تقرر اللجنة، في كل حالة على حدة، وجود ظروف استثنائية تستدعي وقتا إضافيا للنظر في بعض المسائل.
