“If at any time after the receipt of a communication, and before a determination on the merits has been reached, a preliminary study gives rise to a reasonable apprehension that the allegations, if substantiated, could lead to irreparable harm, the Committee may request the State party concerned to take such interim measures as may be necessary to avoid such irreparable harm.”
" إذا ما أثارت دراسة أولى، في أي وقت بعد استلام بلاغ، وقبل التوصل إلى قرار بشأن الوقائع الموضوعية، خوفا معقولا من أن تؤدي الادعاءات، إذا ما ثبتت صحتها، إلى ضرر غير قابل لﻹصلاح، يجوز للجنة أن تطلب من الدولة الطرف المعنية اتخاذ ما يلزم من تدابير مؤقتة لتجنب وقوع هذا الضرر غير القابل لﻹصلاح. "

3. The Committee may request the State party concerned to provide the member or members designated by the Committee with any information that they or the State party may consider relates to the inquiry.
3- يجوز للجنة أن تطلب من الدولة الطرف المعنية أن تزود العضو الذي عينته اللجنة أو الأعضاء الذين عينتهم اللجنة بأي معلومات قد يعتبرها العضو أو الأعضاء أو تعتبرها الدولة ذات الصلة بالتحقيق.

The Committee also decided to request the State party concerned to agree to a possible country visit by the members designated by the Committee after consideration of the observations of the State party and in accordance with article 8, paragraph 2, of the Optional Protocol to the Convention, and rule 86 of the Rules of Procedure of the Committee.
وقررت اللجنة أيضا أن تطلب من الدولة الطرف المعنية الموافقة على إمكانية قيام الأعضاء المعينين من قبل اللجنة بزيارة قطرية إليها بعد النظر في ملاحظات الدولة الطرف ووفقا لأحكام المادة 8، الفقرة 2 من البروتوكول الاختياري للاتفاقية، والمادة 86 من النظام الداخلي للجنة.

" يجوز للجنة، في أي وقت يلي استلام البلاغ، وقبل التوصل إلى تحديد موضوع القضية، أن تطلب من الدولة الطرف المعنية اتخاذ ما يلزم من تدابير مؤقتة للمحافظة على الوضع الراهن أو لتفادي الضرر غير القابل لﻹصلاح " )الفقرة ٦٤(.

The current working group had done no further work on the suggestion which was that a new paragraph should be added to rule 70 of the Committee's rules of procedure to read: " 4. Where it has been unable to obtain required information, and as a follow-up to recommendations included in earlier comments, the Committee may request the State party concerned to agree to receive a mission consisting of one or two members of the Committee.
