52. UNAMID was a tangible manifestation of cooperation between the United Nations and the African Union, and reflected the spirit of the November 2006 declaration on Enhancing UN-AU Cooperation and the ten-year capacity-building programme for the African Union.

59. The declaration on " Enhancing United Nations-African Union Cooperation " , signed by the United Nations and the Commission of the African Union in November 2006 has provided a framework for stronger and more effective cooperation.

43. The declaration on Enhancing United Nations-African Union Cooperation was adopted at a time of enhanced African Union leadership in tackling crises in Africa.
