In view of this provision, the Committee seeks clarification with regard to existing guarantees against discrimination on all grounds referred to in article 1 of the Convention, i.e. race, colour, descent, or national or ethnic origin, and recommends that the State party review its legislation to ensure the adoption of a definition of discrimination in accordance with the Convention.

In the light of articles 1, 2, 3 and other related provisions of the Convention, the Committee recommends that the State party review its legislation with a view to eliminating discrepancies between the minimum age for employment and the age limit for compulsory education, and that it make greater efforts to enforce the requirements set out in law.
