15. Since its first session, in 1981, the Committee has held 13 sessions, during which it has reviewed 74 initial reports of States parties, 37 second periodic reports and 5 third periodic reports.

3. At its fourteenth session, the Committee had for its consideration the reports of 13 States parties composed of six initial reports, three second periodic reports, four third periodic reports, two fourth periodic reports and one report on an exceptional basis.

63. During the period covered by the present report, eight initial or periodic reports were submitted to the Secretary-General: one initial report was submitted by the Republic of Moldova; two second periodic reports were submitted, by Viet Nam and Georgia; two third periodic reports were submitted, by Togo and Yemen; two fourth periodic reports were submitted, by New Zealand and Hungary; and one fifth periodic report was submitted by Sweden.

31. At its twelfth session, the Committee considered the reports submitted by 11 States parties under article 18 of the Convention: three initial reports, one combined 12/ initial and second periodic report, six second periodic reports, one combined 12/ second and third periodic report and four third periodic reports.
١٣ - نظرت اللجنة، في دورتها الثانية عشرة. في تقارير مقدمة من احدى عشرة دولة عضوا بموجب المادة ٨١ من الاتفاقية؛ وكانت هذه التقارير عبارة عن: ثلاثة تقارير أولية، وتقرير دوري أولي وثان مدمج)٢١(، وستة تقارير دورية ثانية، وتقرير دوري ثان وثالث مدمج وأربعة تقارير دورية ثالثة.

The group held eight meetings, at which it examined lists of issues put before it by members of the Committee relating to the initial reports of one country (Bosnia and Herzegovina), the second periodic reports of four countries (the Philippines, Nepal, Mongolia and Nicaragua) and three third periodic reports (Norway, Costa Rica and Yemen).

42. At its sixteenth session, the Committee considered the reports submitted by eight States parties under article 18 of the Convention: two initial and one combined initial, second and third periodic report; one combined second and third periodic report; two third periodic reports; and two combined third and fourth periodic reports.

23. At its thirty-seventh, thirty-eighth and thirty-ninth sessions, held in September/October 2004, January 2005 and May/June 2005, respectively, the Committee on the Rights of the Child considered 9 initial, 11 second periodic and 7 third periodic reports submitted under article 44 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
23- وفي الدورات السابعة والثلاثين والثامنة والثلاثين والتاسعة والثلاثين المعقودة في أيلول/سبتمبر - تشرين الأول/ أكتوبر 2004، وكانون الثاني/يناير 2005 وأيار/مايو - حزيران/يونيه 2005 على التوالي، نظرت لجنة حقوق الطفل في 9 تقارير أولية و11 تقريراً دورياً ثانياً و7 تقارير دورية ثالثة قدمت بموجب المادة 44 من اتفاقية حقوق الطفل.

1. third periodic reports, in accordance with article 40, paragraph 1 (b), of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the decision on periodicity (CCPR/C/19/Rev.1) adopted by the Human Rights Committee at its thirteenth session and amended at its sixteenth session, are due in 1998 from four States parties on the following dates:
١- من المقرر، وفقاً للفقرة ١)ب( من المادة ٠٤ من العهد الدولي الخاص بالحقوق المدنية والسياسية، وطبقاً للمقرر بشأن دورية التقارير )CCPR/C/19/Rev.1( الذي اتخذته اللجنة المعنية بحقوق اﻹنسان في دورتها الثالثة عشرة، وعدلته في دورتها السادسة عشرة، أن تقدم في عام ٨٩٩١ تقارير دورية ثالثة من ٤ دول أطراف، وذلك في المواعيد التالية:

47. During the period covered by the present report, 12 initial or periodic reports were submitted to the Secretary-General: an initial report was submitted by Uzbekistan; second periodic reports were submitted by Guyana, Ireland and Switzerland; third periodic reports by Australia and the Netherlands (Antilles); fourth periodic reports by Australia, Denmark, the Netherlands (Antilles), Portugal (Macau) and Yugoslavia.
47- أثناء الفترة موضع التقرير الحالي قُدِم إلى الأمين العام إثنى عشر تقريراً أولياً أو دورياً: تقرير أول من أوزبكستان؛ تقارير دورية ثانية من غيانا وآيرلندا وسويسرا؛ تقارير دورية ثالثة من أستراليا وهولندا (جزر الأنتيل)؛ تقارير دورية رابعة من أستراليا والدانمرك وهولندا (جزر الأنتيل)، والبرتغال (ماكاو) ويوغوسلافيا.

A total of 263 reports under the Convention (181 initial, 73 second periodic and 6 third periodic reports) have been considered by the Committee, 2 initial reports under the Optional Protocol on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography and 4 initial reports under the Optional Protocol on the involvement of children in armed conflict have also been considered by the Committee.
ونظرت اللجنة في ما مجموعه 263 تقريراً بموجب الاتفاقية (181 تقريراً أولياً، و73 تقريراً دورياً ثانياً، و6 تقارير دورية ثالثة)، كما نظرت اللجنة في تقريرين أوليين قُدما بموجب البروتوكول الاختياري المتعلق ببيع الأطفال وبغاء الأطفال واستغلال الأطفال في المواد الإباحية وفي أربعة تقارير أولية قُدمت بموجب البروتوكول الاختياري المتعلق باشتراك الأطفال في النـزاعات المسلحة.
