58. Turning to the report of the Secretary-General on the impact of new biotechnologies (A/58/76), she said there was concern at the potential negative effects of such technologies on public health and fragile ecosystems.

15. Takes note of the information contained in paragraphs 99 and 100 of the report of the Secretary-General on the impact of freelance recruitment on quality of interpretation at all duty stations, welcomes the measures proposed in this regard, and requests the Secretary-General to report on the issue to the General Assembly at its sixty-third session through the Committee on Conferences;
