In its resolution 58/186 of 22 December 2003, the Assembly encouraged the Special Rapporteur to mainstream a gender perspective in the activities relating to his mandate and encouraged all States to take action to address discrimination against women, particularly where it contributed to the malnutrition of women and girls, and to ensure that women had equal access to resources, including income, land and water, to enable them to feed themselves.
وفي قرارها 58/186 المؤرخ 22 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2003، حثت الجمعية المقرر الخاص على إدماج المنظور الجنساني في الأنشطة الرامية إلى تنفيذ ولايته والدول الأعضاء على اتخاذ التدابير اللازمة لمنع التمييز ضد المرأة، خاصة حيثما أدى ذلك إلى تعرض المرأة والفتاة لسوء التغذية، مع كفالة تكافؤ الفرص بالنسبة للمرأة فيما يتعلق بالحصول على الموارد، بما فيها الدخل والأرض والمياه، تمكينا لها من إطعام نفسها.

5. Encourages all States to take action to address gender inequality and discrimination against women, in particular where it contributes to the malnutrition of women and girls, including measures to ensure the full and equal realization of the right to food and ensuring that women have equal access to resources, including income, land and water, to enable them to feed themselves and their families;
