In the implementation of the UPR recommendations related to Civil Society Organizations, the Lao Government has been implementing the relevant provisions of the Constitution, other related legal documents, particularly the Decree on Associations, the Decree on Foundations and the Decree on INGOs.

50. In the implementation of the UPR recommendations related to women's and children's rights, the Lao PDR has been pursuing the policies to enhance and promote gender equality, the advancement of women, protect the rights and interests of women and children.

58- في سياق تنفيذ توصيات الاستعراض المتعلقة بالأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، تولي حكومة لاو أهمية لمسألة احترام وتعزيز حقوق الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة وتهيئة الظروف المواتية لهم.

8. In the implementation of the UPR recommendations related to governance, public administration and the rule of law, the Lao PDR has continued to improve its governance and public administration to be more effective, transparent, accountable, participatory and to provide better services to the people.
8- وفيما يتعلق بتنفيذ توصيات الاستعراض المتعلقة بالحوكمة والإدارة العامة وسيادة القانون، واصلت لاو تحسين حوكمتها وإدارتها العامة لزيادة الفاعلية والشفافية والمساءلة والمشاركة فيهما، ولتقديم خدمات أفضل للشعب.

13. In the implementation of the UPR recommendations related to international cooperation on human rights, the Lao PDR has been involved in the frameworks of the Human Rights Council and the Third Committee of UN General Assembly by attending meetings, making statements, co-sponsoring of various resolutions.
13- فيما يخص تنفيذ توصيات الاستعراض المتعلقة بالتعاون الدولي في مجال حقوق الإنسان، ساهمت جمهورية لاو في أُطُر مجلس حقوق الإنسان واللجنة الثالثة في الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة وذلك بحضور الاجتماعات والإدلاء ببيانات والمشاركة في رعاية قرارات شتى.

27. In the implementation of the UPR recommendations related to the public health sector, the Lao PDR has continued to implement the policies to improve the general health of the people in the direction of disease prevention as the main policy and treatment as an important policy.
27- في سياق تنفيذ توصيات الاستعراض المتعلقة بقطاع الصحة العمومية، واصلت لاو تنفيذ السياسات الرامية إلى تحسين الصحة العامة للسكان من حيث إدارة الوقاية من المرض التي تشكل السياسة الرئيسية، ومسألة العلاج التي تعد سياسة هامة.

33. In the implementation of the UPR recommendations related to the right to participate in the public affairs pursuant to Article 25 of the ICCPR, the Lao government has attached importance to the implementation of this fundamental right which is provided in the Constitution and relevant laws.
33- في سياق تنفيذ توصيات الاستعراض المتعلقة بالحق في المشاركة في الشؤون العامة تماشياً مع المادة 25 من العهد الدولي الخاص بالحقوق المدنية والسياسية، أولت حكومة لاو أهمية لإعمال هذا الحق الأساسي المنصوص عليه في دستور البلاد وقوانينها ذات الصلة.

39. In the implementation of the UPR recommendations related to the justice sector the Lao PDR has put in place a policy governing the judicial sector which is an important component of the development of a Rule of Law state under the Legal Sector Master Plan by 2020 to ensure equality of persons before the law and the court in accessing to justice.
39- في سياق تنفيذ توصيات الاستعراض المتعلقة بقطاع العدالة، وضعت جمهورية لاو سياسة تحكم قطاع القضاء تعد بمثابة عنصر هام في سبيل إقامة دولة سيادة القانون في إطار خطة العمل العامة لقطاع العدالة بحلول عام 2020 وذلك لضمان المساواة بين الأفراد أمام القانون وأمام المحاكم في التقاضي.

54. In the implementation of the UPR recommendations related to the rights of ethnic groups, the Lao Government has consistently carried out policies that enhance the harmony, solidarity and equality among the ethnic groups by prohibiting all forms of racial or ethnic discrimination.
54- في سياق تنفيذ توصيات الاستعراض المتعلقة بحقوق المجموعات الإثنية، لم تفتأ حكومة لاو تتبع سياسات كفيلة بتعزيز الوئام والتضامن والمساواة بين المجموعات الإثنية وذلك بحظر جميع أشكال التمييز العرقي أو الإثني.

57. In regard to the UPR recommendations related to the group of Hmong people who returned from Thailand in 2009 the Lao Government has provided all kinds of necessary assistance to them in Phone Kham Village, Borlikhamxay Province and Pha Lak Village, Vientiane Province.
57- وفيما يخص توصيات الاستعراض المتعلقة بمجموعة شعب همونغ العائد من تايلند في عام 2009، فقد قدمت حكومة لاو كل أشكال المساعدة اللازمة لهم في قرية فون خام ومقاطعة بورليخامغزاي وقرية فا لاك ومقاطعة فيينتيان.

59. In the implementation of the UPR recommendations related to anti-human trafficking, the Lao Government has established and improved national mechanisms to tackle the problem of human trafficking, implementing projects and cooperation with foreign counterparts to strengthen the work of the National Steering Committee on Anti Human Trafficking.
59- في سياق تنفيذ توصيات الاستعراض المتعلقة بمكافحة الاتجار بالبشر، استحدثت حكومة لاو آليات وطنية للتصدي لمشكلة الاتجار بالبشر وعملت على تحسين هذه الآليات، وتنفيذ مشاريع والتعاون مع نظرائها في خارج البلد بغية تعزيز عمل اللجنة التوجيهية الوطنية المعنية بمكافحة الاتجار بالبشر.

23. In the implementation of the UPR recommendations related to the right to education, the Lao Government has focused on the reform in the national education sector, aiming at enhancing the human resource development, accelerating the expansion of opportunities for access to education for all, promoting education quality, improving and elevating the level of education service, administrating education in a more appropriate manner.
23- في سياق تنفيذ توصيات الاستعراض المتعلقة بالحق في التعليم، ركزت حكومة لاو على الإصلاح الجاري في قطاع التعليم الوطني، الرامي إلى تحسين المساعي لتنمية الموارد البشرية، وتسريع عملية توسيع الفرص لحصول الجميع على التعليم، وتحسين نوعية التعليم، وتحسين مستوى الخدمات التعليمية وترقيتها، وإدارة قطاع التعليم بصورة أفضل.

37. In the implementation of the UPR recommendations concerning detention facilities, the Lao PDR focuses on implementing the relevant provisions of the Constitution and laws in compliance with the international standards.
37- في سياق تنفيذ توصيات الاستعراض المتعلقة بمرافق الاحتجاز، تركز جمهورية لاو على تنفيذ الأحكام ذات الصلة من دستورها وقوانينها بما ينسجم مع المعايير الدولية.

16. In the implementation of the UPR recommendations concerning socio-economic development and poverty reduction, the Lao Government has made poverty reduction a priority in the national socio-economic development to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in 2015 and to graduate the country from the LDC status in 2020.
