The purpose of the Fund is to assist representatives of indigenous communities and organizations to participate in the deliberations of the Working Group on Indigenous Populations of the Sub-Commission on the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights by providing them with financial assistance, funded by means of voluntary contributions from Governments, non-governmental organizations and other private or public entities.

The sole purpose of the Fund was to assist representatives of indigenous communities and organizations to participate in the deliberations of the Working Group on Indigenous Populations of the Sub-Commission on the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights by providing them with financial assistance, funded by means of voluntary contributions from Governments, non-governmental organizations and other private or public entities.
وقد تمثل الغرض الوحيد من إنشاء هذا الصندوق في مساعدة ممثلي جماعات السكان الأصليين ومنظماتهم على المشاركة في مداولات الفريق العامل المعني بالسكان الأصليين التابع للجنة الفرعية لتعزيز وحماية حقوق الإنسان، وذلك عن طريق تزويدهم بالمساعدة المالية الممولة من تبرعات الحكومات والمنظمات غير الحكومية والكيانات الأخرى الخاصة أو العامة.

(a) Eighty grants for representatives of indigenous communities and organizations to attend the Working Group on Indigenous Populations, for a total amount of about US$ 144,000 (see annex III);
(أ) تقديم 80 منحة تناهز قيمتها الإجمالية 000 144 دولار من دولارات الولايات المتحدة (انظر المرفق الثالث) لممثلي جماعات السكان الأصليين ومنظماتهم لكي يحضروا اجتماعات الفريق العامل المعني بالسكان الأصليين؛

(b) Fifteen grants for representatives of indigenous communities and organizations to attend the working group established by the Commission on Human Rights in its resolution 1995/32 to elaborate a draft United Nations declaration on the rights of indigenous peoples, for a total amount of about US$ 41,000 (see annex IV).

ويتمثل الغرض من الصندوق في مساعدة ممثلي جماعات السكان الأصليين ومنظماتهم على الاشتراك في مداولات الفريق العامل المعني بالسكان الأصليين التابع للجنة الفرعية لمنع التمييز وحماية الأقليات، عن طريق تزويدهم بالمساعدة المالية، الممولة بواسطة التبرعات المقدمة من الحكومات والمنظمات غير الحكومية والكيانات الخاصة أو العامة الأخرى.
