We also welcome the progress achieved towards the establishment of a nuclear-weapon-free zone in Africa and, in the light of the ongoing peace process in the Middle East, we urge all States in the region to further the establishment of a nuclear-weapon-free zone by becoming States parties to the Non-Proliferation Treaty.
ونرحب أيضا بالتقدم المحرز نحو إنشاء منطقة خالية من اﻷسلحة النووية في افريقيا، وفي ضوء عملية السلم الجارية في الشرق اﻷوسط، نحث جميع الدول في المنطقة على النهوض بإقامة منطقة خالية من اﻷسلحة النووية وذلك بأن تصبح كلها أطرافا في معاهدة عدم الانتشار.

The Conference urges all States in the region to take relevant steps and confidence-building measures to contribute to the realization of the objectives of the 1995 Resolution on the Middle East and calls upon all States to refrain from undertaking any measures that preclude the achievement of this objective.
