1. Syrian law applies to every Syrian who, in the capacity of perpetrator, instigator or accomplice, commits outside Syrian territory a serious or lesser offence that is punishable under Syrian law.
المادة 20 1. يطبق القانون السوري على كل سوري، فاعلاً كان أو محرضاً أو متدخلاً، أقدم خارج الأرض السورية، على ارتكاب جناية أو جنحة يعاقب عليها القانون السوري.

The law allows for a person who has attempted to commit an offence or misdemeanour to be exempted from punishment if he or she cooperates effectively with the responsible authorities.
ويسمح القانون بإسقاط العقوبة عن الشخص الذي يشرع في ارتكاب جناية أو جنحة إذا تعاون هذا الشخص تعاوناً فعّالاً مع السلطات المسؤولة.

1. يطبق القانون السوري على كل سوري أو أجنبي، فاعلاً كان أو محرضاً أو متدخلاً، أقدم من خارج الأرض السورية على ارتكاب جناية أو جنحة مخلة بأمن الدولة، أو قلد خاتم الدولة، أو قلد أو زور أوراق العملة أو السندات المصرفية السورية أو الأجنبية المتداولة شرعاً أو عرفاً في سورية

(b) Persons sentenced to less than one year's imprisonment for an offence; persons convicted of a major offence or a serious crime who must be sent to a central prison; persons convicted of an indecent act; and persons imprisoned for a debt owed to the State in respect of a serious crime or a major offence;
2- المحكومون بمادة جنحة، أقل من سنة. المحكومون بمادةِ جنحةٍ أو جناية الواجب إرسالهم إلى السجن المركزي. المحكومون بمادة قباحة. الموقوفون لدين عليهم للدولة بمادةِ جناية أو جنحة.

121. The Code of Criminal Procedure provides for a review procedure to redress an error of fact detrimental to a person convicted of a crime or offence (arts. 612 et seq.).
١٢١- وينص قانون الاجراءات الجنائية على إعادة النظر في قرار المحكمة لتدارك أي خطأ مادي ارتكب على حساب شخص أدين بارتكاب جناية أو جنحة )المادة ٢١٦ وما يليها(.

Juvenile delinquent: any juvenile who commits a serious or major offence.
- أما الحدث المنحرف: فهو كل حدث ارتكب جناية أو جنحة.

126. Under article 20 of the Syrian Criminal Code, Syrian law applies to every Syrian abroad who commits, instigates or is an accessory to a serious or a major offence which is punishable under Syrian law. The same rule applies to persons who have forfeited Syrian nationality or who acquire it after committing a serious or a major offence.
126- جاء النص في المادة 20 من قانون العقوبات السوري على أن يطبق القانون السوري على كل سوري فاعلاً كان، أو محرضاً أو متدخلاً، أقدم خارج الأرض السورية على ارتكاب جناية أو جنحة يعاقب عليها القانون السوري، ويبقى الأمر كذلك ولو فقد المدعى عليه الجنسية السورية، أو اكتسبها بعد ارتكاب الجناية أو الجنحة.

60. Article 134 of the Criminal Code stipulates that whoever commits a misdemeanour or felony as a result of mental disability must be placed in a psychiatric institution.
60- وتنص المادة 134 من القانون الجنائي على وجوب إيداع من يرتكب جناية أو جنحة نتيجة خلل في قواه العقلية في مؤسسة لعلاج الأمراض العقلية.

(d) Persons convicted of a serious crime or major offence who must be sent to a central prison;

211. The above-mentioned Act also empowers the judge to take any of the following measures against a juvenile over 7 but under 15 years of age who commits a felony or misdemeanor:
١١٢- كما أجاز القانون المذكور للقاضي أن يتخذ بحق الحدث الذي أتم السابعة ولم يكمل الخامسة عشرة من العمر في حال ارتكابه جناية أو جنحة أحد التدابير اﻵتية:

6. He must not have been convicted of a crime or a misdemeanour in which he used or was carrying a weapon;
٦ - أن لا يكون قد حكم عليه في جناية أو جنحة استعمل فيها السلاح، أو كان يحمل سلاحا أثناء ارتكابها.

Article 130 of the Penal Code establishes that an accomplice to a serious or minor offence is liable to the punishment for that serious or minor offence.
وينص الفصل 130 من القانون الجنائي على أن المشارك في جناية أو جنحة تُنزل به عقوبة قمع ارتكاب هذه الجناية أو الجنحة.

" Syrian law shall apply to any foreign national resident in Syrian territory who commits, instigates or is involved in a crime or misdemeanour punishable under Syrian law outside Syrian territory, where his return has not been requested or accepted. "
يطبق القانون السوري على كل أجنبي مقيم على الأرض السورية أقدم في الخارج سواء أكان فاعلا أو محرضا أو متدخلا على ارتكاب جناية أو جنحة إذا لم يكن استرداده قد طلب أو قبل.
