239. The representative of Nigeria, speaking on behalf of the African Group, recalled that all groups had welcomed the multi-stakeholder partnerships at UNCTAD XI. These partnerships were in keeping with global trends, and the African Group appreciated UNCTAD's efforts in that regard.
239- وأشار ممثل نيجيريا، متحدثاً باسم المجموعة الأفريقية، إلى أن كل المجموعات رحبت بالشراكات الجامعة لعدة أطراف من أصحاب المصلحة التي عُقدت في الأونكتاد الحادي عشر. وقال إن هذه الشراكات تتماشى مع الاتجاهات العالمية وإن المجموعة الأفريقية تقدر جهود الأونكتاد في هذا الصدد.

However, the attitudes displayed in the Commission on Trade and the Commission on Investment had been the opposite of those seen in Brussels and Doha, and such attitudes would undermine the efforts of UNCTAD to assist developing countries, particularly LDCs.
