In his note, the Secretary-General informed the General Assembly of the resignation of Judge, former Vice-President and former President Shi Jiuyong as a member of the International Court of Justice effective 28 May 2010.
في مذكرته، أبلغ الأمين العام الجمعية العامة باستقالة القاضي، نائب الرئيس السابق والرئيس السابق للمحكمة شي جيويونغ من منصبه كعضو في محكمة العدل الدولية اعتبارا من 28 أيار/مايو 2010.

Ecuador wishes also to gratefully acknowledge the work of Judges Shi Jiuyong and Thomas Buergenthal, whose contributions now form part of the acquis and prestige of the Court, and welcomes the appointment of the new Judges of the Court, Ms. Xue Hanqin and Ms. Joan Donoghue, to whom we wish every success as they take up their sensitive duties.
