45. At the same meeting, the Committee considered a report of the Board of Auditors, transmitted by the Secretary-General, on the audit of the United Nations escrow account covering the year 2001.

(a) As the United Nations Escrow Accounts are in a liquidation process (see note 7 below), the going concern assumption is not followed and the financial statements are presented according to the liquidation basis of accounting, which may require realization of assets and extinguishment of liabilities outside the normal course of business.
(أ) بما أن حساب الضمان التابع للأمم المتحدة قيد التصفية (انظر الملاحظة 7 أدناه)، لم يُؤخذ بفرضية استمرارية الأعمال، وقُدمت البيانات المالية وفقاُ للمحاسبة على أساس التصفية. وهذه الطريقة قد تقتضي تحقُّق الأصول وشطب الخصوم خارج المسار العادي للأعمال.
