4. The Security Council, in the same resolution, asked the Secretary-General to appoint a panel of five experts to monitor implementation of the ban and requested the Government of Sierra Leone to ensure, as a matter of urgency, that an effective certificate of origin regime for trade in diamonds was in operation in the country.

Calls upon the Government of Sierra Leone to continue enhancing the effectiveness of the Transnational Organized Crime Unit, including by addressing concerns about its sustainability and to strengthen coordination with regional countries through the WACI, and further calls upon the Government to continue its efforts to strengthen the Anti-Corruption Commission and improve the management of the extractive industries;

7. Also calls upon the Government of Sierra Leone to investigate all reports of human rights abuses that have occurred since the signing of the Peace Agreement and to end impunity, and requests the Secretary-General and the High Commissioner to respond favourably to any requests from the Government of Sierra Leone for assistance with its investigation of reports of human rights abuses that have occurred since the signing of the Peace Agreement;
7- تطلب أيضاً إلى حكومة سيراليون أن تحقق في كل ما أُبلغ عن حدوثه من تجاوزات لحقوق الإنسان منذ توقيع اتفاق السلم، وأن تضع حداً للإفلات من العقاب، وترجو من الأمين العام والمفوضة السامية أن يستجيبا بشكل إيجابي لما قد تقدمه حكومة سيراليون من طلبات لمساعدتها في التحقيق فيما يردها من تقارير عما حدث من تجاوزات لحقوق الإنسان منذ توقيع اتفاق السلم في لومي؛

6. Urges the Government of Sierra Leone to continue its efforts to develop an effective, affordable and sustainable police force, armed forces, penal system and independent judiciary, and further to promote good governance and strengthen mechanisms to tackle corruption, and encourages donors and UNAMSIL, in accordance with its mandate, to assist the Government in this regard, as well as in restoring public services throughout the country;
6 - يحث حكومة سيراليون أن تواصل جهودها لإنشاء قوة شرطة وقوات مسلحة ونظام جنائي وسلطة قضائية مستقلة، تتسم جميعها بالفعالية وتكون تكاليفها معقولة وتتمتع بمقومات الاستدامة، وأن تعزز كذلك الحكم الرشيد وآليات التصدي للفساد، ويشجع المانحين وبعثة الأمم المتحدة في سيراليون على القيام، وفقا لولايتها، بمساعدة الحكومة في هذا الصدد، وكذلك في استعادة الخدمات العامة في جميع أنحاء البلد؛
