The activities relating to the Special Mission are of an extraordinary nature relating to the maintenance of peace and security and should be dealt with, as was done in previous years, outside the procedures related to the contingency fund, as provided for in paragraph 11 of annex I to General Assembly resolution 41/213 of 19 December 1986.
١٠ - حيث أن اﻷنشطة المتصلة بالبعثة الخاصة هي أنشطة ذات طابع استثنائي يتصل بحفظ السلام واﻷمن فينبغي معالجتها، كما تم ذلك في السنوات السابقة، خارج إطار اﻹجراءات المتصلة بصندوق الطوارئ، وفقا لما هو منصوص عليه في الفقرة ١١ من المرفق اﻷول لقرار الجمعية العامة ٤١/٢١٣ المؤرخ ١٩ كانون اﻷول/ ديسمبر ١٩٨٦.

15. In paragraph 11 of his report, the Secretary-General indicated that the activities relating to the Commission were of an extraordinary nature and should be dealt with outside the procedures relating to the contingency fund, as provided for in paragraph 11 of annex I to General Assembly resolution 41/213 of 19 December 1986.
٥١ - وأشار اﻷمين العام في الفقرة ١١ من تقريره الى أن اﻷنشطة المتصلة باللجنة هي ذات طبيعة غير عادية وينبغي تناولها خارج إطار اﻹجراءات المتصلة برصيد المصاريف الطارئة، على النحو المنصوص عليه في الفقرة ١١ من المرفق اﻷول لقرار الجمعية العامة ١٤/٣١٢ المؤرخ ٩١ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ٦٨٩١.

He said it was clear from paragraph 13 of A/C.5/50/36 that the activities called for in the draft resolution should be dealt with outside the procedures related to the contingency fund.

6. As the activities relating to MINUGUA are of an extraordinary nature they should continue to be dealt with outside the procedures related to the contingency fund, as provided for in paragraph 11 of annex I to General Assembly resolution 41/213 of 19 December 1986.

In addition, as these activities are of an unforeseen and extraordinary nature related to the maintenance of peace and security, they should be dealt with outside the procedures related to the contingency fund, as provided for in annex I, paragraph 11, of General Assembly resolution 41/213 of 19 December 1986.

Takes note of the estimate of 1,395,300 dollars under section 3, Peacekeeping operations and special missions, and 148,300 dollars under section 32, Staff assessment, of the programme budget for the biennium 1998–1999, on the understanding that such additional appropriations as may be necessary will be dealt with outside the procedures related to the contingency fund, as provided in annex I, paragraph 11, to General Assembly resolution 41/213;
