38. The main objective of the TEC in the area of technology road maps is to catalyse the development and use of technology road maps by Parties, in particular developing country Parties, in the context of addressing climate change.

42. From the discussions, the TEC is in a position to deliver the following key messages regarding technology road maps:

(a) Continue its efforts to improve the inventory of technology road maps in collaboration with relevant organizations;

In addition, a number of road maps were approved for the Department of Forensic Medicine, the Special Chamber of the Supreme Court, war crimes, witness protection, prisoner escort in northern Mitrovica and the Kosovo Property Agency Appeals Panel.

26. In accordance with its function concerning technology road maps and technology action plans, the TEC developed a background paper on technology road maps, aiming to facilitate its work with regard to that function.

27. The TEC, with the support of the secretariat, organized an expert meeting on technology road maps in conjunction with its 5th meeting.

47. In addition, the LEG participated in the 5th meeting of the Technology Executive Committee, and in an expert meeting on technology road maps, which were both held in March 2013 in Bonn, Germany.

(a) Technology road maps provide a coherent basis for international and/or national policies to support enhanced action on development and transfer of technologies to address climate change;

The programme updated, maintained and added new functions to the technology information platform within the technology information clearing house TT:CLEAR, including new web pages on technology needs assessments, national designated entities and a new technology portal hosting more than 600 technology road maps and 100 technology briefs.
