2. The purpose of regional centres for adaptation shall be primarily to assist particularly vulnerable developing countries, develop and implement national adaptation plans and develop and deploy appropriate adaptation technologies.
2- يتمثل الغرض من إنشاء مراكز التكيف الإقليمية أساساً في مساعدة البلدان النامية المعرّضة للتأثر بشكل خاص بتغير المناخ في وضع خطط تكيف وطنية وتنفيذها، وتطوير تكنولوجيات تكيف مناسبة ونشرها.

In the submissions, suggested ways to overcome such barriers range from the employment of a full-time adaptation coordinator to enhance the scope of activities and ensure their integration, to the creation of an international-level instrument calling for the elaboration of national adaptation plans.

At the national level, arrangements should be put in place for preparing and implementing national adaptation plans, which would be supported by rigorous vulnerability and adaptation assessments.
11- وعلى الصعيد الوطني، ينبغي وضع ترتيبات لإعداد وتنفيذ خطط تكيف وطنية مدعومة بعمليات تقييم دقيقة لقابلية التعرض وللتكيف.

91. Numerous Parties felt that the formulation and implementation of NAPs will also require an increase in support for research in the LDCs so that they have improved capacity to develop NAPs that reflect local adaptation priorities.

Planning for and implementation of urgent and immediate, short-, medium- and long-term adaptation action at national and regional levels, building upon existing planning efforts, including the formulation and implementation of national adaptation plans for Parties that wish to do so, including least developed countries (LDCs);

3. Particularly vulnerable developing countries shall be provided financial and technical assistance through, inter alia, the Adaptation Window of Multilateral Fund on Climate Change to develop and implement national adaptation plans.

(f) The establishment of a process for LDCs to formulate and implement national adaptation plans building upon the experiences of the NAPAs to identify medium- and long-term adaptation needs and develop strategies and programmes to address those needs.
(و) إنشاء عملية لأقل البلدان نمواً لكي تضع خطط تكيف وطنية وتنفذها بالاستفادة من خبرات برامج عمل التكيف الوطنية لتحديد احتياجات التكيف المتوسطة والطويلة الأجل ووضع استراتيجيات وبرامج لتلبية تلك الاحتياجات.

The preparation and implementation of national adaptation plans should include strong inter-ministerial and multi-stakeholder platforms or committees addressing disaster risk reduction that comprise all relevant sectors and that include private sector, scientific and other civil society representation (ISDR, MISC.6);

At its sixteenth session, the COP established the Cancun Adaptation Framework, and under it, a process to enable LDCs to formulate and implement NAPs, building upon the experience gained by LDCs in preparing and implementing national adaptation programmes of action (NAPAs).
