With a view to formulating a comprehensive strategy for central Asia, UNDCP has started an extensive drug abuse survey in the region, within the framework of a new project entitled " Preparatory assistance in drug demand reduction: rapid situation assessment of drug abuse in the central Asian region " .
113- وبغية صوغ استراتيجية شاملة لآسيا الوسطى، استهل اليوندسيب دراسة استقصائية شاملة لتعاطي العقاقير في المنطقة ضمن اطار مشروع جديد عنوانه " المساعدة التمهيدية على خفض الطلب على العقاقير: تقييم سريع لحالة تعاطي العقاقير في منطقة آسيا الوسطى " .

وعلاوة على ذلك، وبغية وضع استراتيجية شاملة لآسيا الوسطى، بدأ اليوندسيب دراسة استقصائية واسعة النطاق عن تعاطي العقاقير في المنطقة، سوف تجرى في اطار مشـروع جديـد بعنـوان " المساعدة التحضيرية في خفض الطلب على العقاقير: تقييم سريع لحالة تعاطي العقاقير في منطقة آسيا الوسطى " .

The Commission considered item 5 of its agenda, entitled " Drug demand reduction: (a) Action Plan for the Implementation of the Declaration on the Guiding Principles of drug demand reduction; (b) world situation with regard to drug abuse, in particular among children and youth " , at its 1202nd meeting, on 23 March 2001.
70- نظرت اللجنة، ابان جلستها 1202 المعقودة يوم 23 آذار/مارس 2001، في البند 5 من جدول أعمالها، والمعنون " خفض الطلب على العقاقير: (أ) خطة العمل لتنفيذ الاعلان الخاص بالمبادئ التوجيهية لخفض الطلب على العقاقير؛ (ب) الوضع العالمي فيما يتعلق بتعاطي العقاقير، خصوصا بين صفوف الأطفال والشباب " .

5. Also encourages Member States to strengthen efforts to reduce the demand for illicit drugs and to ensure that a comprehensive package of prevention, education, treatment and rehabilitation measures are accessible to all individuals who use and abuse illicit drugs, including those infected with HIV/AIDS, in accordance with the Declaration on the Guiding Principles of drug demand reduction;
5- تشجع أيضا الدول الأعضاء على تعزيز الجهود الرامية إلى خفض الطلب على العقاقير غير المشروعة وعلى ضمان اتاحة مجموعة شاملة من تدابير الوقاية والتربية والمعالجة واعادة التأهيل لكل الأفراد الذي يتناولون ويسيؤون استعمال العقاقير غير المشروعة، بمن فيهم المصابون بالايدز أو فيروسه، وفقا للاعلان الخاص بالمبادئ التوجيهية لخفض الطلب على المخدرات؛
