On 23 August, the Council of Representatives ratified the agreement of 29 April 2012 between Iraq and Kuwait on navigation and joint management of the Khor Abdallah waterway.
ففي 23 آب/أغسطس، صدّق مجلس النواب على الاتفاق المبرَم بين العراق والكويت في 29 نيسان/أبريل 2012 بشأن الملاحة والإدارة المشتركة للممر المائي خور عبد الله.

The imposition of the boundary in the Khawr Abdullah area, as decided on by the Boundary Demarcation Commission, presents a grave threat to Iraq's right to enjoy freedom of access to the sea by exercising its historic right to unrestricted and safe navigation in the Khawr Abdullah area, to an extent that will, in the future, place it in the position of a landlocked State.
إن فرض الحدود في منطقة خور عبد الله بالطريقة التي قررتها لجنة الترسيم يهدد تهديدا خطيرا حق العراق في حرية الوصول الى البحار من خلال ممارسة حقه التاريخي في الملاحة غير المقيدة واﻵمنة في منطقة خور عبد الله الى الحد الذي قد يجعله مستقبلا بحكم الدولة المغلقة عديمة السواحل.
