1. The United Nations standards of accommodation for air travel are governed by a series of General Assembly resolutions and decisions, including resolutions 42/214, 45/248 A, 53/214, 63/268, 65/268 and 67/254 A and decisions 44/442, 46/450 and 57/589.

B. Review of travel standards within the United Nations system

a The ellipses in a given itinerary indicate that for some legs the normal standard of accommodation applied and no exception was involved.
(أ) تشير نقاط الحذف (...) في خط سير رحلة معينة إلى أن بعض مراحل الرحلة تمت وفق المعايير العادية المتعلقة بتحديد درجات السفر وليست مشمولة بأي استثناء.

5. Effective January 1966, standards of travel by air were reduced to economy or tourist class for all staff members.
٥ - واعتبارا من كانون الثاني/يناير ١٩٦٦، اختزلت درجات السفر بالطائرة إلى الدرجة الاقتصادية أو السياحية لجميع الموظفين.

It could therefore be concluded that oversight had resulted in a decrease in the number of exceptions to the standard for air travel and in costs.
