It was included in Article 3 of the Constitution of the Republic of Croatia that gender equality, together with national equality, peace-building, freedom, equality, social justice, rule of law, etc. represents the highest value of the constitutional order, and is thus the basis for the interpretation of the Constitution.

Actual result of this regulation is also reflected in the following - due to the fact that the Constitution of the Republic of Croatia comprises a great number of regulations (the entire Chapter III) that refer to fundamental rights and freedoms, all these regulations should be interpreted within a context of gender equality as the basis for the interpretation of the Constitution.
والنتيجة الفعلية لهذه الأنظمة تنعكس أيضا فيما يلي - لما كان دستور جمهورية كرواتيا يشتمل على عدد كبير من الأنظمة (الفصل الثالث برمته) التي تشير إلى الحقوق والحريات الأساسية، فإن جميع هذه الأنظمة ينبغي أن تفسر في إطار المساواة بين الجنسين بوصفها الأساس لتفسير الدستور.

1. the Constitution of the Republic of Croatia pays special attention to the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms by devoting its whole chapter 3 entitled “Fundamental Human Rights and Freedoms” to the elaboration of different human rights standards including both civil and political rights and economic, social and cultural rights, mainly following the standards elaborated in major international human rights instruments.
١- يولي دستور جمهورية كرواتيا أهمية خاصة لحماية الحقوق والحريات اﻷساسية لﻹنسان بتكريس فصله الثالث المعنون " الحقوق والحريات اﻷساسية لﻹنسان " بأكمله للمعايير المختلفة لحقوق اﻹنسان التي منها الحقوق المدنية والسياسية والحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية طبقا للمعايير التي وردت غالبا في الصكوك الدولية الرئيسية لحقوق اﻹنسان.

In accordance with the Article 140 of the Constitution of the Republic of Croatia (Official Gazette, No. 41/01 and 55/01) " international agreements that have been concluded in compliance with the constitution and published, make a part of inner law order of the Republic of Croatia and as regards their legal effectiveness they are above national laws. "
