The Committee notes that the Centre is not yet playing a strategic role in the overall management of the Organization's air assets and expects this matter to be addressed in the context of the comprehensive report on air operation issues requested to be submitted to the General Assembly at the second part of its resumed sixty-fourth session.

The Committee therefore recommends that the General Assembly request the Secretary-General to undertake a comprehensive assessment of the pilot project, including a cost/benefit analysis, and submit the results of the assessment to the Assembly at the second part of its resumed sixty-fourth session.
