66. With respect to the human rights situation during the political unrest, such as that in 2007, as had been pointed out, the delegation stated that the Government insisted on the rule of law.

659. With regard to the murders allegedly committed by law enforcement officials, the delegation stated that the Government had discretionally retired 3,500 law enforcement officials on its own initiative.
659- أما بخصوص الاغتيالات التي يزعم أن مسؤولي إنفاذ القوانين هم من ارتكبوها، فقد ذكر الوفد أن الحكومة أقالت حسب استنسابها 500 3 مسؤول من مسؤولي إنفاذ القوانين بمبادرة خاصة منها.

With regard to attacks on journalists, the delegation stated that the Government had already submitted the report to the Special Rapporteur on the freedom of expression and opinion.
62- وفيما يخص الاعتداءات على الصحفيين، ذكر الوفد أن الحكومة قد سلمت التقرير إلى المقرر الخاص المعني بالحق في حرية الرأي و التعبير.

10. Regarding asylum seekers who were minors, the delegation stated that the Government attached great importance to ensuring a rapid asylum process with legal safeguards for those children, as well as good living conditions during the process.
10- وفيما يتعلق بطالبي اللجوء القاصرين، ذكر الوفد أن الحكومة تولي أهمية كبيرة لضمان عملية لجوء سريعة تشمل ضمانات قانونية لهؤلاء الأطفال، فضلاً عن توفير ظروف معيشية جيدة خلال العملية.

64. Regarding the protection of children's rights, the delegation stated that the Government had implemented various measures to prevent the phenomena of so-called " social orphans, " by supporting families in general, and in particular families facing difficult social conditions.
64- وفيما يتعلق بحماية حقوق الطفل، ذكر الوفد أن الحكومة نفّذت تدابير مختلفة لمنع ظاهرة " أيتام المجتمع " من خلال دعم الأسر بصفة عامة، والأسر التي تواجه مشاكل اجتماعية بصفة خاصة.

37. Concerning the issue of the rights of women and children in relation to domestic violence, the delegation stated that the Government was keen to carry out activities to increase awareness and understanding of the issue.
37- وبخصوص مسألة حقوق النساء والأطفال فيما يتعلق بالعنف المنزلي، ذكر الوفد أن الحكومة تحرص على القيام بأنشطة للتوعية بهذه المسألة وزيادة فهمها.

With regard to questions concerning the rights of minorities, the delegation stated that the Government was committed to fostering good inter-ethnic relations and implementation of the Ohrid Framework Agreement.
15- وفيما يتعلق بالمسائل المتصلة بحقوق الأقليات، ذكر الوفد أن الحكومة ملتزمة بتعزيز العلاقات الحسنة بين الطوائف العرقية وبتنفيذ اتفاق أوهريد الإطاري.

20. Furthermore, the delegation stated that the Government had put in place a comprehensive public education and awareness programme to disseminate information on the Domestic Violence Act.

In addition, the delegation stated that the Government placed a high premium on providing resources for the institutions that dealt with the promotion and protection of human rights, including the Office of the Ombudsman, the Directorate of Public Prosecutions, the Police Service, the Prisons Service, and the Directorate on Corruption and Economic Crime.
