My delegation has repeatedly reminded the Committee that, despite the international obligations accepted during the 1999 Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Istanbul Summit and the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe obligations undertaken by the Russian Federation, its military base in the breakaway region of Abkhazia has not been withdrawn.

The Chair reminded the Committee that agreement had still to be reached on the text of the draft resolution on United Nations reform submitted by the European Union at the Committee's third meeting.

During the dialogue, while acknowledging certain specific aspects of many critical humanitarian situations, the High Commissioner reminded the Committee that security and protection requirements remained the same for every affected civilian population and appealed for humanitarian considerations to prevail.

1- الرئيس: ذكّر اللجنة بأن بعض الوفود تساءلت، في سياق مناقشة مشروع المادة 13 في الجلسة السابقة، عن استخدام مصطلحي " القانون " و " قاعدة قانونية " في بعض مشاريع المواد التي تمت الموافقة عليها من قبل.

However, one delegate reminded the Commission that although it was probably appropriate to target or select a group of SMEs, caution would have to be exercised when it came to selecting individual SMEs for programmes in order to avoid " crony capitalism " .
بيد أن أحد الوفود ذكّر اللجنة بأنه على الرغم من ملاءمة استهداف وانتقاء مجموعة بعينها من المشاريع الصغيرة والمتوسطة الحجم إلا أنه سيتعين توخي الحذر عند انتقاء فرادى المشاريع الصغيرة والمتوسطة الحجم للمشاريع بغية تلافي " الرسملة الحميمة " .

4. Mr. Elsayed (Egypt) reminded the Commission that the views he expressed were those of all the members of the League of Arab States and stressed the key role of maritime transport companies, which rendered valuable services to developed and developing countries alike.
4- السيد السيد (مصر): ذكّر اللجنة بأن وجهات النظر التي يعرب عنها هي وجهات نظر جميع الدول الأعضاء في الجامعة العربية، وأكد على الدور الكبير لشركات النقل البحري، التي تؤدي خدمات جليلة إلى البلدان النامية والمتقدمة على السواء.
