The keynote address emphasized the important role of Earth observations from space in the collection of the primary hydrologic variables (such as precipitation, evaporation and steam flow data) required for the development of appropriate scientific models and reliable hydrometeorological forecasting.
وأكدت الكلمة الرئيسية على الدور المهم لعمليات رصد الأرض من الفضاء في جمع المتغيّرات الهيدرولوجية الأولية (من قبيل بيانات التهطال والتبخّر وتدفق البخار) اللازمة لوضع النماذج العلمية الملائمة وإجراء تنبؤات موثوقة في مجال الأرصاد الجوية الهيدرولوجية.
