Ms. Rovirosa (Mexico) (spoke in Spanish): The Government of Mexico welcomes the President's initiative to convene this meeting, which provides us an opportunity to underscore the importance of collective efforts to address climate change and its effects.

Ms. Rovirosa (Mexico) (spoke in Spanish): Mexico has taken the floor once again to express its concern about the increase in seismic and hydrometeorological events, which have been affecting our society as a negative impact of climate change.

36. Ms. Rovirosa (Mexico), speaking on behalf of the Rio Group, said that past and present migrations were the source of the cultural and ethnic richness of the countries in the Group.

Ms. Rovirosa (Mexico) (spoke in Spanish): It is an honour for my delegation to participate on behalf of the Rio Group in this year's debate on the revitalization of the work of the General Assembly.
