But there are also other areas, and there too my country attaches great importance to the need to deal also with subjects which are quite indispensable, such as biological weapons, conventional disarmament, mines, which the Ambassador of Ukraine has just referred to, small arms, etc.
بيد أن هناك أيضا مجالات أخرى يعلق فيها بلدي كذلك أهمية كبيرة على ضرورة القيام أيضا بمعالجة مواضيع أساسية جداً مثل الأسلحة البيولوجية، ونزع الأسلحة التقليدية، والألغام، التي أشار إليها سفير أوكرانيا منذ لحظة، والأسلحة الصغيرة وغير ذلك.

In the light of the rapid changes in the international arena, one might ask, as the Ambassador of Ukraine did a moment ago, whether the current format of the report, which has been unchanged since 1973, serves the purposes of the Charter.
وفي ضوء التغيرات السريعة التي تحصل على الساحة الدولية، لعل المرء يتساءل، مثلما فعل سفير أوكرانيا قبل برهة وجيزة، عما إذا كان الشكل الحالي للتقرير، وهو شكل لم يتغير منذ عام ١٩٧٣، شكلا يخدم مقاصد الميثاق.
