In their 2011 replies, the authorities of Benin took due note of the recommendations by SPT regarding ONPT.
وقد أحاطت سلطات بنن علماً، في ردودها عام 2011، وحسب الأصول المرعية، بتوصيات اللجنة الفرعية لمناهضة التعذيب بشأن المرصد الوطني لمنع التعذيب(23).

66. The Beninese authorities have reviewed the law governing the Benin Human Rights Commission to bring it in line with the Paris Principles.

12. At the end of the visit, the delegation presented its preliminary observations concerning the visit to the Beninese authorities.
12- وفي نهاية هذه الزيارة قدم الوفد ملاحظاته الأولية إلى سلطات بنن بخصوص الزيارة.

They recommend that the Beninese authorities should develop clear and objective criteria for selecting NGOs to be authorized to visit places of detention and consider granting those NGOs permanent authorization to visit.
وأوصت سلطات بنن بتطبيق معايير واضحة وموضوعية لاختيار المنظمات التي سيُخوّل لها زيارة أماكن الاحتجاز والنظر في منح هذه المنظمات غير الحكومية إذناً دائماً بالزيارة(17).

For example, in two recent piracy cases reported by the Benin authorities, suspected pirates were charged with generic offences, such as armed robbery, premeditated murder and conspiracy.
ففي حالتين حديثتين من حالات القرصنة التي أبلغت سلطات بنن عنها مثلا اتهم القراصنة المشتبه فيهم بارتكاب جرائم عامة من قبيل السطو المسلح، والقتل مع سبق الإصرار، والتآمر.

314. At the end of the visit, the delegation presented its preliminary observations to the Benin authorities in confidence.
