172- ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية مع الإعراب عن التقدير أن مكتب شؤون الفضاء الخارجي قد انضم إلى دراسة آثار الاضطرابات المفاجئة على الغلاف الأيوني، وقام بتركيب جهاز لرصد هذه الاضطرابات في معرضه الدائم الخاص بالفضاء الخارجي.

The Subcommittee also noted with satisfaction that the Office for Outer Space Affairs had in February 2013 signed a memorandum of understanding with the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development, based in Nepal, to establish a UN-SPIDER regional support office in the Himalayan region.
122- ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية بارتياح أيضاً أنَّ مكتب شؤون الفضاء الخارجي قد وقَّع في شباط/فبراير 2013 على مذكرة تفاهم مع المركز الدولي للتنمية المتكاملة للجبال، الكائن في نيبال، بغرض إنشاء مكتب للدعم الإقليمي تابع لبرنامج سبايدر في منطقة الهيمالايا.

For the review, the Office for Outer Space Affairs had contacted 152 former participants in United Nations/International Astronautical Federation workshops and asked them to provide information on their follow-up activities.
ولاجراء هذا الاستعراض ، كان مكتب شؤون الفضاء الخارجي قد اتصل بـ ٢٥١ مشاركا سابقا في حلقات العمل المشتركة بين اﻷمم المتحدة والاتحاد الدولي للملاحة الفلكية وطلب منهم تقديم معلومات عن أنشطة المتابعة التي اضطلعوا بها .

The Subcommittee noted that the Office for Outer Space Affairs had entered into an agreement in 2003 to become a cooperating body to the Charter, thus making it possible, through that agreement, for any United Nations entity to request imagery from the Charter to facilitate relief efforts immediately following a natural or technological disaster.
139- ونوّهت اللجنة الفرعية بأن مكتب شؤون الفضاء الخارجي قد أبرم في عام 2003 اتفاقا ليصبح هيئة معاونة للميثاق، مما يتيح لأي كيان تابع للأمم المتحدة أن يطلب من الميثاق صورا ساتلية لتيسير جهود الإغاثة فور حدوث كارثة طبيعية أو تكنولوجية.

9. The Office for Outer Space Affairs had, together with expert educators in space law and the regional centres for space technology education affiliated to the United Nations, begun to develop a curriculum for space law education at the regional centres, which could eventually be used also in universities around the world.

The Meeting noted that the Office for Outer Space Affairs had set up a web page to provide links to resources in the following categories: equipment; educational and training materials; satellite and other data; and capacity-building resources.
44- ولاحظ الاجتماع أن مكتب شؤون الفضاء الخارجي قد أنشأ صفحة ويب لتوفير وصلات شبكية إلى موارد تندرج في الفئات التالية: المعدات؛ والمواد التعليمية والتدريبية؛ والبيانات الساتلية وغيرها؛ وموارد بناء القدرات.

The Meeting noted with appreciation that the Office for Outer Space Affairs had created a user-friendly webpage on the website for the United Nations Coordination of Outer Space Activities that facilitated navigation between various initiatives and recommendations of the World Summit.
41- ولاحظ الاجتماع مع التقدير أن مكتب شؤون الفضاء الخارجي قد أنشأ موقعا على الويب سهل الاستعمال ضمن الموقع الخاص بتنسيق الأمم المتحدة لأنشطة الفضاء الخارجي يُتيح التِّجوال بين مختلف المبادرات والتوصيات التي تمخّض عنها مؤتمر القمة العالمي.

The Subcommittee noted with appreciation that the Office for Outer Space Affairs had included on its website a new section entitled " United Nations treaties and principles on outer space: travaux préparatoires " (www.unoosa.org/oosa/en/SpaceLaw/treatyprep/index.html).
124- ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية بارتياح أنَّ مكتب شؤون الفضاء الخارجي قد أدرج في موقعه الشبكي باباً جديداً عنوانه " معاهدات الأمم المتحدة ومبادئها المتعلقة بالفضاء الخارجي: الأعمال التحضيرية " (www.unoosa.org/oosa/en/SpaceLaw/treatyprep/index.html).

The Meeting noted that the Office for Outer Space Affairs had established a dedicated, password-protected web page for the preparation of the report of the Secretary-General on the coordination of space-related activities within the United Nations for the period 2012-2013, with the aim of facilitating its timely finalization and providing clear guidance to United Nations entities for their contributions to the report.

The Subcommittee noted with appreciation that Canada, Chile, Ecuador, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, the Russian Federation, South Africa, the United States, SCOSTEP and the Office for Outer Space Affairs had reported on their achievements and the activities they had carried out in 2012 in the framework of the Initiative.
164- وأحاطت اللجنة الفرعية علماً مع التقدير بأنَّ الاتحاد الروسي وإكوادور وألمانيا وإندونيسيا وجمهورية كوريا وجنوب أفريقيا وشيلي وكندا والولايات المتحدة واليابان واللجنة العلمية المعنية بالفيزياء الشمسية-الأرضية ومكتب شؤون الفضاء الخارجي قد قدمت تقارير عن منجزاتها وعن الأنشطة التي اضطلعت بها عام 2012 في إطار المبادرة الدولية.

The Subcommittee noted with appreciation that the Office for Outer Space Affairs had continued to update the database on national space legislation and multilateral and bilateral agreements related to the peaceful exploration and use of outer space (www.unoosa.org).
171- ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية مع التقدير أنَّ مكتب شؤون الفضاء الخارجي قد واصل تحديث قاعدة البيانات المتعلقة بالتشريعات الفضائية الوطنية والاتفاقات الثنائية والمتعدّدة الأطراف المتعلقة باستكشاف الفضاء الخارجي واستخدامه في الأغراض السلمية (www.unoosa.org).

3. The Working Group of the Whole had before it the report of the Expert on Space Applications (A/AC.105/790 and Corr.1) and noted that the Officer-in-Charge of the Space Applications Section of the Office for Outer Space Affairs had supplemented that report by a statement.

The Subcommittee noted with appreciation that, in response to its request at its forty-sixth session, the Office for Outer Space Affairs had organized in Vienna in December 2007 an expert meeting on promoting education in space law (A/AC.105/908).
121- ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية مع التقدير أنّ مكتب شؤون الفضاء الخارجي قد نظّم، في فيينا، في كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2007، بناء على طلبها في دورتها السادسة والأربعين، اجتماعا للخبراء بشأن تعزيز التعليم في مجال قانون الفضاء (A/AC.105/908).

The Subcommittee noted with appreciation that Canada, China, Egypt, Germany, Japan, Pakistan, the Republic of Korea, the Russian Federation, Switzerland, the United States, SCOSTEP and the Office for Outer Space Affairs had reported on their achievements, projects, international space weather programmes and the activities that they had carried out in 2013 for a better understanding of the ionosphere and the impacts of space weather on Earth.
154- ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية مع التقدير أنَّ كلاًّ من الاتحاد الروسي وألمانيا وباكستان وجمهورية كوريا وسويسرا والصين وكندا ومصر والولايات المتحدة واليابان واللجنة العلمية المعنية بالفيزياء الشمسية-الأرضية ومكتب شؤون الفضاء الخارجي قد أبلغ عمَّا حقَّقه من إنجازات وما اضطلع به من مشاريع وبرامج دولية بشأن طقس الفضاء وأنشطة في عام 2013 من أجل تحسين فهم الغلاف الأيوني وتأثيرات طقس الفضاء على الأرض.

The Committee noted with satisfaction that the Office for Outer Space Affairs had so far signed cooperation agreements for the establishment of UN-SPIDER regional support offices with Algeria, Iran (Islamic Republic of), Nigeria, Pakistan, Romania and Ukraine, as well as the Asian Disaster Reduction Centre and the Water Center for the Humid Tropics of Latin America and the Caribbean.
113- ولاحظت اللجنة بعين الارتياح أن مكتب شؤون الفضاء الخارجي قد وقَّع حتى الآن على اتفاقات تعاون من أجل إنشاء مكاتب دعم إقليمية لبرنامج " سبايدر " مع كل من أوكرانيا وإيران (جمهورية-الإسلامية) وباكستان الجزائر ورومانيا ونيجيريا، وكذلك مع المركز الآسيوي للحد من الكوارث ومركز المياه الخاص بالمناطق المدارية الرطبة في أمريكا اللاتينية والكاريبي.

The Committee noted with appreciation that the Office for Outer Space Affairs had begun to make arrangements for special events and activities to be held throughout 2011 in celebration of those milestones and that, together with the Chair of the Committee, it had conducted informal consultations with interested member States regarding the events to take place at the fifty-fourth session of the Committee.
327- ولاحظت اللجنة مع التقدير أن مكتب شؤون الفضاء الخارجي قد بدأ اتخاذ ترتيبات بشأن تنظيم مناسبات وأنشطة خاصة طيلة عام 2011 احتفالاً بهذين الحدثين التاريخيين، وأنه قام، بالتعاون مع رئيس اللجنة، بإجراء مشاورات غير رسمية مع الدول الأعضاء المهتمة بشأن الأحداث التي ستنظم في الدورة الرابعة والخمسين للجنة.
