(a) Develop and adopt comprehensive awareness-raising programmes to challenge and change cultural and social attitudes, traditions and customs that underlie forms of behaviour that perpetuate harmful practices;
(أ) إعداد واعتماد برامج شاملة للتوعية من أجل مجابهة وتغيير المواقف والتقاليد والأعراف الثقافية والاجتماعية التي تنبع منها ضروب السلوك التي تُديم الممارسات الضارة؛

It also recommends that the State party prevent early marriages of girls by developing and undertaking comprehensive awareness-raising programmes on the negative implications of early marriage for the girl child's rights to health, education and development, targeting in particular traditional and religious leaders, parents and State parliamentarians.

The Committee recommends that the State party fully enforce the age of marriage set out in law for all forms of marriage and develop and undertake comprehensive awareness-raising programmes on the negative implications of early marriage on the girl child's rights to health, education and development, targeting in particular parents and community leaders.

43. Mr. Al-Awadhi (Yemen) said that his country, out of its belief that combating corruption was fundamental to development, had ratified the United Nations Convention against Corruption in 2005, put in place anti-corruption legislation and enforcement mechanisms, and organized comprehensive awareness-raising campaigns on corruption and its dangers.

Such efforts should include comprehensive awareness-raising and educational campaigns that address women and men and girls and boys, with a view to eliminating the stereotypes associated with traditional gender roles in the family and in society, in accordance with articles 2 (f) and 5 (a) of the Convention.
