The Commission was also informed that members of the Programme network had organized a workshop on criminal justice reform on 17 April 2002.

The Institute provides the international community with regular and ad hoc information as well as advisory services through its network of distinguished experts and its specialized documentation centre, and continues to carry out coordination activities among the members of the Programme network.

In its resolution 1997/27, the Economic and Social Council requested Member States and the relevant institutes of the Programme network to assist the Secretary-General in establishing the advisory steering group and specified the operational tasks that the steering group should carry out.

The observer for the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute, speaking on behalf of the members of the United Nations Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Programme network, informed the Commission that the members of the Programme network had conducted activities supporting the implementation of the mandates of the United Nations Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Programme.
89- وتكلم المراقب عن معهد الأمم المتحدة الأقاليمي لأبحاث الجريمة والعدالة باسم أعضاء شبكة برنامج الأمم المتحدة لمنع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية، فأفاد اللجنة بأن أعضاء شبكة البرنامج قاموا بأنشطة داعمة لتنفيذ مهام برنامج الأمم المتحدة لمنع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية.

Reference was made to the panel discussion on trafficking in antiquities, which had been held at the 2008 meeting of the International Scientific and Professional Advisory Council in Courmayeur, Italy, and the related papers published by that institute of the Programme network.
44- وأُشير إلى حلقة النقاش حول الاتجار بالعاديات التي عُقدت في اجتماع المجلس الاستشاري الدولي للشؤون العلمية والفنية لعام 2008 في كورمايور، إيطاليا، وإلى الورقات ذات الصلة التي نشرتها معاهد شبكة البرنامج.

This is further augmented by the sharing system of the TSC network, which allows the transfer and adaptation of high-quality training materials.
